This might be long, but although it's pretentious to talk about yourself, IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME, SO SIT, READ AND COMMENT.

So I've been missing from deviantart for a while, mainly for generally badass reasons. While still drawing and shit, I tried joining a couple bands. First, I tried doing a COB cover project with my friend John Smithey, but Alexi's vocal style is too high for me and his guitar style is too fast for John to learn quickly. Then I tried joining John's band, [insert shockingly violent name here], but they settled on a shittier vocalist. Finally I tried forming my own band with an old friend of mine on keys and John on lead guitar. Of course, finding bassists and drummers in Idaho who play anything other than screamo, country or that structureless indie-acid-rock-noisecore-poop mixture that makes no sense, is actually quite stultifying. There was also trouble settling on a genre. We'd listen to one band and be all like, "hey, let's do folk metal!", then we'd listen to another one and another one and want to do a black metal/viking metal fusion genre. Finally we said "fuck it, genres are gay, let's write music". So that's on hold.
In my personal life, I've been challenging the gay ass short hair policy at my place of employment. I won't stop until my hair is down to my NIPPLES. So fuck you, Ben "Doodoo Head" Baca. I'm also planning a big no-chaperone high school party up at Table Rock. I think maybe I'll wait until spring, though. It's too cold now.

Anyvay.
Fuck you.
Poop.

Going back to the more brutal, death-oriented style.
Leaving music behind; may or may not come back to it in a few years.

Art.
Art art art.
Taking AP art, therefore I have no real "assignments" in art this year. I have concentration, in which I do many pieces related to a similar theme, and breadth, where I do several works in different styles, showing my adaptability. This all goes toward developing a portfolio.

This should turn out to be a very fascinating senior year.

So my loving mother promised me a Mac if I graduate my senior year on time, and my grandparents will collectively give me enough money for a good tablet. In anticipation of this (because I plan to graduate), I've already begun mapping out a 5 1/2+ minute animation to the Ensiferum track "Dragonheads", because that song seems made for a music video. Tomorrow concepts will mostly be uploaded to cr8rb33st, but a few will show up here.
Also, tons of LOTR stuff on the way (Balrog is coming out nicely), so watch out for that.
Oh, and my hair is officially just long enough to put in a ponytail. Yipee.

New musical project with my older brother. So far I'm using a drum machine and our computer and a crap mic for our compositions. I'm going to see if Nargothrond/AllanoN's guitarist can contribute a bit. Then we just need a drummer and a bassist.
